WHY AM I DOING THIS? 

This video pretty much sums it up. But also.... ⬇️

In the midst of my deepest struggles with depression, I turned to running in spring 2023. Through chance, I stumbled upon Tommy Rivs' iFit running series, which became my beacon of guidance as I started this running journey. His wisdom, humor, and humility propelled me forward as I learned the art of running. It wasn't instant salvation; it took time, medication, and dedication to heal. Yet, with each passing month, both my mental state and running prowess improved.

What began as mere seconds of running evolved into tackling 5k races by September. Inspired by Rivs and the spirit of the NY Marathon, I set my sights on running the New York City Marathon in 2024. Being accepted to the Back on My Feet charity team in March 2024 was confirmation that I would have the opportunity to reach my goal.

As the months unfold, I am steadily building my strength and endurance, pushing towards longer distances in preparation for November. The road to NYC is daunting, but my commitment is unwavering. With perseverance and a sprinkle of luck, I aim to step onto that starting line in November, ready to embark on the run of a lifetime.
